How much does the Tooth Fairy leave with your Tooth Fairy Doll in your household? Does she leave only money or are there other traditions she practices? Here is what the Lees Family says:
As a rule of thumb… Our household follows some basic rules. We feel the Tooth Fairy should reward our children a little more based on the whiteness of the tooth. Size also is important. A big tooth should be worth more money than a small tooth. Younger teeth are worth much more money than older teeth. Last but not least, the first tooth is worth the most, although, as those baby teeth loosen, they come out like picking grapes. So it is understood that quantity discounts are always applicable.
Each of our children has their very own Tooth Fairy Dolls. Our oldest is now 13 and her Tooth Fairy doll is in her hope chest, but Willie (10) and Max (6) are still cashing in on those pearly whites. We give on average $3.00 per tooth. With three kids in a middle class household, timing is everything, a Friday after payday is just good timing and generally yields greater funds.
